Forget me not

Alittle something.

 

 

Something that we all know

Something we all can see

Its something you can’t take away from me

Its hope and joy that curses your smile

When only you’ve been here for just a little while

How long must I stand here and watch mask fall

It feels as if we are nothing at all

You take and break my little black heart

 And sprinkle it all over what’s left of this mark

You rub in the poison and curse with a smile

You are the devil himself

And I am only a child

Forget me not

For I am but a sinner

Take my hand and we shall go

To a place that is much better

And we shall ride the clouds

And bask in the sun

For forever and ever

We are one.

Great logic and wisdom in your poem.

So many lines stood out. I like the reason and purpose of this poem. We need to be remembered and loved. Even if it is but a phone call or a hello. I like the ending a lot. A outstanding poem.
