My Day

My Day

A Poem by Henry Clemmons

Not all moments exist
                                  in black
and white’s
                  contrasting comfort.

Some moments b r e a t h e,
        some bleed,
some battle in layered
                                  shades
                                            of slate.

Moment’s sum,
                        portray my day.
