Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by Heretic

Blue. White. Green. Tan.
Salt in the air
A gust of wind
Crashing waves

Wood cuts through swelling water
Clarity and peace overcome the mind
Paddle and wait
Paddle and ride
Crash
Repeat

Orange. Red. Blue. Tan.
Salt in the air.
A gust of wind
Lapping waves

Wetsuit comes off
Cold breeze inducing goosebumps
The failing sun embraces in its dimming warmth
Grains of sand between the toes

Black. White. Yellow.
Salt in the air
Wind through the hair
Smile

Repeat

"This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It's us. Only us." ~Rorscha.. more..
