Importance of friendship

Died a thousand times before

I’ve lurked in the dark

Cried until my eyes were sore

Before I made my mark

 

I never looked around

Because I kept my head down low

That’s why I haven’t found

That you were here with me then and now

 

Today you kept me smiling

With your jokes and silly pun

I was then frowning

Until you showed me life is fun

 

True friends are hard to find

Those that will love you and give

Thank you for showing me how to be kind

How to live and enjoy the ride
