Utopia

Utopia

A Poem by Ash

Close your eyes.
What do you see?
Nothing.
What if, at this very moment, you were looking at your soul.
Remember when you were younger?
You would close your eyes and see a different world.
Your imagination would go wild, all your favorite characters would come to life.
Now imagine, walking through a forest.
You look to your right, you see a deer drinking from a lake peacefully.
Now turn to your left.
You see your favorite childhood memory.
Whether it's running around the park, or playing with your favorite toy.
Don't act like you don't remember it.
Remember how you felt?
The unlimited happiness coming from that one moment.
When we were children, we had no worries.
If we did, our utopia still wasn't too far to reach.
Remember when you went to that amusement park?
Not a care in the world.
Now you look straight.
You see a bright light.
Walk closer.
What do you find?
Happiness.
