Reflections

A Poem by That Girl
"

"
Looking in the mirror
All you see is shame
Stepping on the scale
All you see is numbers
Putting on that new makeup
All you see is an ugly face
Covered up by a little bit of color

Walking down the halls
All you see is people
Your imagination starts to wonder
And soon you become paranoid
With what they are saying
And what they think of you
Since when has this bothered you

When did you start caring
Why did you stop loving yourself
Why do you start covering up
That beautiful face of yours
Why are you letting people
Who don't know you --- destroy you
