Gray

Gray

A Poem by Holly O'Brien

Blue eyes

Makes me think of shallow seas

Blue skies

And trees with baby leaves

White sheets

Makes me think of wedding dresses

White clouds

And clean messes

Red wine

Makes me think of common blood

Red roses

And abused love

Black hands

Makes me think of weakened Sampson

Black crows

And forgotten origins

Yellow sun

Makes me think of untouchable things

Yellow petals

And feathers without wings

Gray hair

Makes me think of endless halls

Gray clay

And sometimes nothing at all

Beautiful peaceful but powerful thoughts
I kind love this one because its very true

Makes me think of common blood

Red roses

And abused love

Delivers a message about abuse women and children

Brilliant write! Hugssss
