Sadness Runs Through Him

All good things come to an end. This is based off the end of gravity Falls WierdMaggedon. I intent to write more soon.

“Look summer can't just stay frozen like this forever… Things change… Summer ends…” He tried to calm me. It just made everything worse. The words “Summer ends” rang through my head. I grabbed my party supplies and threw them at Charlie, before running out the door. Tears pouring from my face. I ran down the streets and into the forest. I heard Charlie scream my name but I kept running. I took a left and a right through the forest. After a while I was certain he could not find me, and I sat next to a tree.

------------------------ That very morning------------------------

My alarm beeped loudly as the sun slowly raised above the sky. I was staying with my friends, Charlie, and Reagan in a small town named Gravity Falls. I was staying at my step brother’s house. Reagan was in the room down the hall, as me and Charlie were in the same room. Not many people know that I have a bad self doubt. Always telling myself how he is going to hate this… Or she doesn't like you, you're dumb. I can get very angry just because of this. I don’- well I didn’t want to tell my friends… Until today. I stretch my arms, and scratched my back. Charlie is the smart one. Reagan the same… Well, I am just the one who isn't that smart, but can make people laugh. Well sometimes. I aim to be charming. Today was the final day of our summer.. Reagan back to Virginia.. Charlie coming home with me. I quickly flopped off my bed and grabbed my cloths for the day. I ran into the bathroom and change. Reagan was going to the mall with her friends. I was going to go get some party supplies and Charlie was going to plan the party. I needed to get an early start. I walked out the door and quietly shut it. I taped a note saying, “Off to begin my day. At the party store… And maybe the Mystery Shack. :3” ~Nick. I opened the door and saw the bright sun peaking over the hills. Such a beautiful town. I began to walk to the store. I opened my phone and saw that my online friend, Gary Sec, had emailed me back. He is on at like 11:50 sometimes, I am usually asleep. I emailed him back and put my phone in my pocket. He usually would not respond for a couple hours. I saw the party store in the distance, it was massive, compared to the rest of the shops.

          I came out after an hour of shopping. My eyes burned in the light, since the shop is under the building itself. As they adjusted something blew me back. My feet collapsed underneath me due to the wind. It was an alien pod, I thought. But I couldn't be sure. I picked myself up, and grabbed my bags. There was smoke trailing from where it crashed. I decided not to go there and just go home.

          I opened the front door to a very big surprise. My step brother, Charlie, and Reagan stood in front the kitchen. There was a banner. It read “Goodbye Reagan and Nick!” There was a problem. I read it over a couple times but no change. “Reagan and Nick” No Charlie. My smile turned to a confused look. I dropped my bags by the door and walked towards the three.

          “What's going on?” I asked confused.

          “You didn't know it was your last day?” Charlie commented

           “‘Your?’ You mean our?” I hoped he meant that

           “Didn't I tell you? I am staying here to study the weirdness. I swear I told you.” Charlie smiled, but I fought the tears back.

            “Are you f*****g kidding me?!” I screamed, letting my wave of tears fill my eyes. Like a dam had just burst.

            “W-What?” Charlie pondered

            “You were the only person I could count on to talk to after summer, and now you are leaving me to?! Reagan back to Virginia. You stay here and I go back to Michigan?! You don't know how long I have been depressed and you were there for me!” My eyes filled with tears, almost choking me.

            “Look I have been thinking, and it would be a great opportunity for me..”

            “But it's a horrible opportunity for me!” Screamed, marking Reagan and my step brother start to back up.

            “Look summer can't just stay frozen like this forever… Things change… Summer ends…” He tried to calm me. It just made everything worse. The words “Summer ends” rang through my head. I grabbed my party supplies and threw them at Charlie, before running out the door. Tears pouring from my face. I ran down the streets and into the forest. I heard Charlie scream my name but I kept running. I took a left and a right through the forest. After a while I was certain he could not find me, and I sat next to a tree. Breathing deeply due to have ran about a mile. The tree was not as soft as I thought and hurt my back.

I sat there for hours. Until about 7:30 PM. I decided to get up and… Then… Well… The sky was vomiting.  Like god got scissors and cut a hole in our atmosphere. Leaving a big X. But not in the way that our air was going, the way that we could see space, without the sun, just space. Then the sun stopped. I saw the sun stop in the sky. Looking around, I noticed a bunch of animals running away. Things I have never seen before run right next to my feet. I turned to see what they were looking at and I saw it. A wave of madness. It soon covered me like a tsunami and I lost consciousness.

When I woke up, I thought it was a dream. My eyes remained shut as if I had just woken. But I couldn’t open them. I got my hands and opened them manually. I saw it all. Nothing. I saw the forest. The same it was. But yet the leaves were talking, some trees were eating grass, and there was a chair. Randomly. I needed to find my friends. I started to walk. I commanded my legs to walk faster but they would not. Kept walking. Until I found my way out the forest. I saw it. A massive triangle hovering above the town, right under the large X. I saw no one in town and started walking again. It’s like a ghost town. I turned the corner and saw someone in the distance. I saw them running as a mixture of an eye and a bat. It turned the man to stone. Now I knew where they all had went. Frozen in time. Like the whole town was put to sleep. I ran. My legs finally agreed with my brain.

I ran until I found my block. I walked to my house. Looked untouched. I opened the door. It made a creek as it opened. I shut it behind me. I pulled out a flashlight and began to look around. My uncle must have been in a panic, as the house was all messed up. I looked around and saw something in the backyard. Charlie and Reagan. Stone. My uncle next to them, like they were running away. I saw the eye bat abducting their lifeless body. I screamed internally, but did not do anything, as I was frozen in fear. I felt tears forming on my face. I walked over and collapsed in the living room. Crying.

About an hour passed, my tears had dried but I did not get up. I didn’t need to get up. The one thing I did not expect to hear was a knock at the door. I didn’t know who or what it was. I was confused at the same time as how someone was at my door. Then I thought maybe it was a EyeBat. I grabbed my uncles Rifle, and his ammo. Loading it up. Then I unlocked the door and the being opened the door. I shot. Missing the being. I took a closer look and it was a human. Looked like the owner of the Mystery Shack.

“Don’t shoot!” He screamed at me. I didn’t answer, just breathed heavily.

“I...I… Wh-hat are you doing here?” I stuttered.

“Finding survivors. Come with me kid. You’ll be safe” He held out his hand as I saw he had a girl behind him. Looked like the northwest girl. Maybe he was a kidnapper. But it was my only chance. I grabbed his hand.
