Dismembered

Dismembered

A Poem by Hopesunderground

I don't believe in true happiness,

i have truely had enough,

I find myself to worship grief,

as for love, for us all, there is only one.

I believe in tomorrows,

Exsistant but effortless,

I think to wake up and just to savour,

Is true and honest selfishness.

I believe i cannot handle my own,

i disapprove of most,

I deserve a perch upon no throne,

Nor do all that live monsterous, then boast.

the greed and dishonesty,

is a contagious plaugue of the mind and gene,

to look into the eyes of the emotionally wounded and laugh,

mockery, idiocy, as all those do is silently plead.

but perhaps i have just rephrased what we all already know,

For i am of no social rank to judge,

but i seem to have the power to gaze beyond with the naked eye and show,

a reality lost in the population sludge.

I live my life reckless,

and try to keep out of the way,

he is my only fortress,

and i stay silent in the life i had made,

Dismembered from your kind

that i choose to have no kin,

i want nothing more to do with you,

never the less, leave me now with only him.

smeared across a city,

bellowed across our small town,

your lives should be highly pittied,

until oblivion bring us down.
