One's own religion is after all a matter between oneself and one's Maker and no one else's -Mahatma Gandhi

Is religion to blame for what man has gained

some say religion is man made 

but how come it’s so deep no poet has gone 

how come it makes you calm like looking at trees in fall 

it even tells stories with wisdom that make a fool fall on his knees  

how come it can make you believe and cry happy tears? 

I like to read the Quran and go to Church 

hang out with my fellow Jew’s, learn from the Hindus

I even want to go to the Tibet and learn from them too,

they all have something to teach, they are all true 

yet some say they brought war. How? All they teach is love,

discipline, peace, caring and so on; nothing that said war

war was made because man wanted more

the greed for money and power to control 

    

people are strange, they kill in the name of religion to achieve peace… Irony! 

what peace is that? built on blood and souls 

but the greater irony is, they used religion for their own

religion used to be a teacher with a lesson not a weapon 

All religion came from one source, God 

we divided it to make people think that love isn’t for all

and with that racism was born  

how can we as humans still belong?

when we need religion to tell us to feed the poor, to kill no more, to rape is wrong, love your neighbour as your own, …, I could go all day and still have a lot to say, I only want to prove that religion isn’t wrong

it is us who like to sin 

we blame the devil because who else can it be?   

could it be us, how can it?

The devil only sits on his throne of misery 

watching us wrong, watching us play a game that isn’t even on 

we were born with a choice to choose destiny

God nor the devil have a say in what we want to be 

that’s why we either live eternity happily or burn in an eternal misery

I don’t need religion

I have morals, a heart and a vision  

it’s all that I need to walk this journey

hopefully I will find company 

so please join me! God only wants us to be happy
