Attention

Attention

Dear Doctor,

I'm a school girl, like a lot of other people.
But, there's something about me that's a little different.
My attention skills are... not the best I should say.

In the middle of a lesson, I'll "daydream".
At the end of the day, I can't have a normal conversation.
I only hear half of what other people say.

At times, it won't even be daydreaming.
At times, I'll be staring into space.
I'll be trapped in an endless void of nothingness.

Then I'll snap out.
I'll say something like "what?"
They'll groan and repeat themselves, frustration in their eyes.

You do know I can't help it, right?
Of course you do, you're hired to know.
That's why I visit you, after all.

Well, they don't know.
They don't understand..
They'll never understand...

But at least I have you to guide the way
Sincerely, Your ADD holding patient

This hasn't ever really happened to me. This is just something I came up with for some exaggeration of my condition.
