A Deadly Love

A Deadly Love

A Poem by Mystique

Molten lungs
and razor tongues.
Claws that catch,
tears of ash.
Broken wings
and shattered dreams,
hidden under silent screams.
There is one way out, but will you pay?
The hunt, my dear, is underway..
Hurry now, they'll catch you here.
Death by damsel, death by fear,
never to live another year..
So hang your head in pitied shame,
things will never be the same..
The love you held close will never rest,
she'll remain a ghost in hatred's nest.
