A Letter To Everyone

A Letter To Everyone

A Story by Fallen Angel

 Dear Everyone,

Two fish are swimming along.

An older fish swims by and says

"How's the water?" and keeps swimming.

After a while one fish turns to the other and says

"What the hell is water?"

Hang in there, please.

I know things get hard sometime.

But it will be okay.

I know that people will be mean.

They will hurt you.

And desert you.

But you're human.

Hurt is part of the job.

Sometimes, all you want is two words.

I'm sorry.

But people are too prideful to say it.

So sometimes, you need to forgive them.

Even if they don't want forgiveness.

Because sometimes, their pride is what's keeping them from wanting the forgivness.

Pride is the biggest mask.

The hardest to see past.

The hardest to get out of.

The most painful one.

Be patient to people who wear this mask.

Usually all they want is out.

Remember the happy moments.

The moments where you laughed and were joyful.

The moments where something so funny happened, that no matter how much you think about, you still laugh.

When you're in the dumps, remember them.

Laugh.

Wear your heart on your sleeve.

Keeping your emotions inside hurts only you.

You pay the only price.

The price?

You're soul.

It hurts you too much.

I know.

Pay attention.

Listen.

People appreciate you if you listen to them.

You need to learn to care.

But caring too much will kill you.

You need to grasp this concept.

There are people in the world who you've never met that love people that you've never met.

If you're not prideful, don't become prideful.

If you are, it's not too late.

Try hard to think less of yourself.

Pray more.

If you're atheist, give God a chance.

Two man are arguing in a bar over whether God is real or not.

The believer says to the atheist

"Did you ever even pray?"

The atheist replys

"Yeah, once.

I was lost in Alaska, it was a blizzard, all my food was gone.

I got down on my knees and said 'God, please save me.'"

The believer is puzzled by this and says:

"Well, you're here now, so God must have helped!"

The atheist replies:

"Of course not! Two natives just happened to wander by, and showed me the way."

Give faith a fighting chance.

Don't be the atheist and believe everything is a coincidence.

Don't expect everyone to be the wise old fish that knows what water is.

They aren't.

Be patient with people.

if someone cuts you off when you're driving.

Please don't assume their a jerk.

Maybe they're son is in the seat next to them.

Bleeding and screaming and crying.

Maybe he needs to get his son to the ER.

Maybe that women screaming at her child in the grocery store line has been up the past three nights holding the hand of her husband with bone cancer.

I know that sometimes it all wears too thin.

And you just want to kill yourself.

Well life isn't about getting the hottest spouse.

Or the biggest house.

Or the giant paycheck.

It's about learning to go through everyday without wanting to shoot yourself in the head.

It's about learning that this?

Is water.

I really needed this...Sometimes I have some of these same thoughts, and knowing what water is doesn't keep you treading all the time, and thought i loose myself in the ripples and occasionally sink to the bottom I know when my feet touch the pebbles I can launch myself back to the surface...
Great Read!
