A DAMSEL YOUNG AND MERRY

A DAMSEL YOUNG AND MERRY

A Poem by williams Ike
"

Love

"

He went a-praising
A damsel young and merry
As he went a strolling
Valentine: Love's day merry

Just a simple gaze
Reveals her head a skull
Of wisdom not abase
But wit of the "skulled"

Her coloured eyes
Tells of the sunrise
Her smile precious
Do men set anxious
