Broken Away

Broken Away

A Poem by Immortal Beloved

Left out of the crowd wallowing around.

Hidden by a shadowy red hooded shirt.

Avoiding the sun dashing from human to human hiding, running.

Fear controls my movements as I dash and dodge zig and zag.

Adrenaline and sorrow keep my heart going stabbing it with pinprick needles as I go.

Then crashing into a human they pick me up and hug me giving me what I always needed:

Security.
