Black Rose

Black Rose

A Poem by Immortal Beloved
"

jess brown

"

Precious soft supple flesh coats your skeleton and muscle tissue.

I am the hunchback unworthy of gazing upon your face.

Girl I’m just so addicted to you head over heels in love with you.

I am Eeyore stuck in a concentration camp of depression with Down Syndrome as it’s leader.

Protective thorns cut and tear my flesh as I try to rescue you from your prison.

In the still of the night I found and held you tight watching dew run from your eyes.

The very thought of you made me sentimental over you.

See the thing about you that caught my eye is the rarity of your foudroyance.

I see your face in every rose and your eyes in the morning dew my lovely black rose.
