Twilight's Bride

Twilight's Bride

A Poem by paperdaydreams

When comes the hour he searches for a new bride
Dawn abandoned him and broke away
The pink and blue of her silk wedding dress
That reminds him every day
She can never stop running
She started now she's trapped she can't stop
Her peachy curls worn wispy with fear
With highlights of aqua and daylight on top
A sleeping corpse will be his only bride
She will soon wear his murky veil
That tints your vision with darkness and fear
Ecrusted with nightmares a black raven trail
The sleeping bride of twilight in darkness disapears
Another victim at the whithered hands of midnight
He holds her body, touches porcalin collar bone
and strokes hollowed cheek before clearing black veil
The moan
of fear and confusion
That he hushes with a single kiss
That tells her he will never forget her
The nightmare of twilight will never go amiss
