A Black and White Kind of Life

A Black and White Kind of Life

A Poem by Silentspeaker

The words have worn my lips
I pray that repetition won't make me numb
You are the hateful fire I found likable
And you hate me, and I hate letting go

Without light, there isn't dark
Without the black, there's only grey
For that strange way, the future seems clear
That I'd love to live and and love and hate

I can't demonstrate precision, else my face grow blank
It's an illusion, you know, no matter how perfect
If there's no mistakes, it's a life poorly wasted
Because my flaws are me, and I am them
And there's nothing I'd rather be

Thanks to you
I'm wanting to fall and get up and live and die
Thank you, truly
For showing me
