You

You

A Poem by Indigo Rose

I think I miss your emptiness
The hollow shell
Filled with my projections
Overflowing with assumptions
Sinking under the weight of misconstrued eagerness

I long for one single word
With the misguided inference of ten thousand

How quickly passion can melt into apathy
Fire fading like the mirage you were
In the gasping desert of my mind
A gleam of light made unnatural
Forced through a frame of arrogance
Upon a darkening sky of self doubt

We were born to fail

In truth
I miss what I thought you are
What I thought would be
What I thought we had
I miss what you never were

I can feel the emotions in this write... Two hearts came close but become apart, one person thought about the other person with lots of hope and dreams but it turned out all fake... I know the feeling very well dear frnd, I have been there... So thought provoking write and very relatable...

Sincerely
Dhiman
