Amidst the Silence

Amidst the Silence

A Poem by Mek & the Infinite Madness
"

Nostalgia dwells in memories...

"

I was under an olden tree
not very far from somewhere but
it takes time to be there
It was when the shades were cool
and the breeze whistled a
relaxing soothe
Everything seems to find bliss
in each gust of the gentle zephyr
Butterflies giggle
in every wave of emotion
Daisies wiggle
beauty in each breath
Dragonflies jiggle
...a dance with the wind

Remembering why I fled
not to escape but to find solace
I took out my pen and
a piece of parchment
but there was no blood
no fire
no chaos
Just silence in every sway
Blades of grass
touching my toes
a tingling sensation
deep in thought

...Transcendence

So I tried
gliding with the pen
through that parchment
contemplating
then there was
nothing...
