The Things They Know

...They have been with us
for as long as time
could remember
Lingering in thoughts
in every dreams
Shattered no more
freed from the masquerades
of a system
dictating us all
Waking to a hand-choked 
tomorrow
that will never 
be ours
so I long
not to be like them
...yet
But to know the 
things behind every truth
If the dead could only speak
or perhaps
if I could only hear
or listen to their voices
then maybe
just maybe
things will be 
clearer...
