Mistress of my Mind and Heart

Mistress of my Mind and Heart

A Poem by Ah Lecks
"

Love not expressed

"
Tell me your secret.
Teach me to return and counter
To use it against you.
How do you leave such an aftertaste?
Torture me with daily thoughts
That toothy smile always inside?
Make it so that nothing around is
Any good without you to run it?
How did you put me in this position?
I can't explode, I can't spread.
I can't give what I know.
What I know about you.
Leave me curious of the days you trek.
What it is you think of I.
Left at this distance,
I sit on the floor with a promise.
One that holds all my life that none shall know
That leaves me in awe at what feelings show
And a goal to get there and see what'll follow.

This was amazingly written. The emotions are portrayed so vividly throughout, and the flow beautifully done. The style reminds me of the poem 'Despair' by Ann Sexton. You may have to read it to know what i mean.
It's been a while since i've come across a poem this skilfully written. I must admit i was rather surprised at finding no reviews on this piece.

Your work has left me speechless. I'm not quite sure what else to say, except to urge you to continue writing.

Yrs.

Azaradelle.
