Jesus rose to give us light
Following the bunnies, oh so bright
Candy treats for all of mankind
No more sadness in our mind
Loving Easter as best we can
Little bunnies ran and ran
Laughing with joy over the ears
Forgetting our unwanted fears
Chasing the creatures, oh so small
Is that the Easter bunny who may call?
No more pain in the meadow’s smile
Laying in the grass as we wait awhile
Sunshine warmth in our hair
I love you all, I do care
For Jesus’s hands comfort me
Joyous wonder, you can see
I love Easter, yes it’s true
Little birdies flew and flew
Bunny rabbits come and play
Let us follow them, on our way.
My friends with me forever
Those little bunnies, oh so clever
What a day, I shed a tear
I’m so happy, no more fear
Turning around to see him looking down
I stand still, I’m so proud
For my friends and I here to fend
Easter’s rights till the end
Loving bunnies of our name
We just love our little creatures from once they came
Candy here and bunnies there
See us smile, not that rare
For our joyous wonder of Jesus’s world by day
This world he gave as all to say
Happy Easter from me and you
And Happy Easter to you bunnies, too.
