My Own Royal Paradise

I own my heart and I always will, poetry.

My heart's my own royal paradise,

The one thing I won't sacrifice.

My happiness I can't compromise,

That's the rule of my heart.

New choices are my best friends,

Fresh starts are my soulmates.

Second chances are rare,

But I won't let it go to waste.

It feels like I'm living once again,

Like a fresh start I can enjoy.

Something that I can't complain,

I feel like I've been re-employed.

All I need is my own advice,

Something that feels so precise.

I start a new day with a smirk on my face,

Happiness is a splendid new chase.

I'll start anew, being the grateful few,

Cause not everyone gets to see the error of their ways.

I'll be smarter than last time, a little more careful,

Cause my heart's my own royal paradise.
