Abandoned

Abandoned

A Poem by Alecz

Rain descending,
Falling to the ground.
Smiles raising,
Ready to fall down.

Cold lies being whispered.
Hearts being shown.
People being shivered,
Pushed and thrown.

White lies to be told,
Anger to be noticed.
People are cold,
When will they show this?

A day at a time,
One foot in front of the other.
Afraid of the crime,
This one and another.

Blood falling from her eyes,
Crying in the dark.
She is so sick of these lies,
Afraid of what they may spark.

A girl abandoned,
All by herself.
So sad it's at random,
Sitting on the top shelf.

Sleeping away the pain,
Alcohol can't fix.
So here comes the rain,
Drowning in the creeks.
