Two Souls Touched

Two Souls Touched

A Poem by Mark
"

Why are relationships so damn complicated?

"
You touched my soul with yours,
Opened your heart,
Letting your secrets pour over me
Like cold rain surprise.
You touched my laughter and laughed
In our Spring of Discovery
Both of us excited and humgry.
The surprise warm, fulfilling.
I pushed you too much
The wall was too hard
So you drew away
My fault, my surprising pain.
Have I wished, have I prayed
That Spring will renew our laughter
That souls once touched will remember.
That our surprise will return again.

A beautiful tale of two souls, and unrequited love. I can relate. Thank you for a lovely read.

Writing about the souls of one another can be so hard. Especially if the loss was profound. The emotions of this come through from your heart, and it both loving and sad. I am sorry for the heartache, this can be the most difficult. You describe it with such clarity, I feel the pain you speak of, and the love you talk about first is so tender and pure, it is clear though your words the love you have felt. Incredible write!

You are most welcome!
with new love the road is sometimes rocky and sometimes one trips over one of them. It doesn't always mean that things are over.......so maybe there isn't a wall, just a lesson to be learned. Very good poem Mark.
