Beats

Beats

A Poem by Mark

Closed eyes to sense the three beats
two hearts, and the drums
the song moves and takes us with it.
Parted lips, knee and thigh
I hold you touching the white satin
wanting to tear it
instead, I bend down and sniff
the fragrance of soft hair
I feel your breathing, your moving
our tribute to a song, any song
we can move to
under stars, out shone by the reflected
light of our Sun,
on the sad face of the moon.

I don't want to open my eyes
knowing I'll find it all lies.
If there is a God, please grant me
a heart made from stone.

To make it a little easier to take,
this Being, alone.

Memories of better times, of joy and closeness after the fall are all two hurtful and leave an empty feel. Well expressed. And where have you been?

Driving. Just haven't felt like writing much and when I do have been working on stories.
