Expression of Anger

Expression of Anger

A Poem by Mark
"

I have no idea why everything seems to be a cycle for me lately

"
My hand, heavy, strikes the mountain.
Will and soul empower flesh
Thunder bellows down the valley;
I have come.

Anger, jagged and bright,
pours out, and down.
Stricken furrows steam open,
With a yielding; Earth sighs.

Drawing clenched fists
I strike again, then again
The thunder roars, carrying
dissipated by what
Earth absorbs.

From lightning hot
to smoldering red,
anger then turns wet
running from cheek to Earth.

She absorbs these tears
and from death, and the pain
then anger hot and searing white,
finally, the rain reaches seeds,

now nurtured,
and aching to grow.

Ah...you're on your cycle ;-) I appreciated this work for the strength with which it was written...I literally felt the reverberations of rage in the piece. Or maybe I'm just projecting because my kid is blasting One Direction in the other room *laugh* Seriously, though...powerful write.

Thank you so much mama!
She absorbs these tears
and from death, and the pain
then anger hot and searing white,
finally, the rain reaches seeds,

now nurtured,
and aching to grow.

From destruction comes renewal. This was one powerful write.

Thank you :)
An expression of anger that grows and yet then recedes into soft rainfall, I like how this runs with a touch of positive hope at the end

THank you sir :)
Powerful effect of anger very well conveyed. I had a little difference that I wanted to convey...your anger leads to rain and then growth...Why does my steam scald forever and my searing white heat leave another's flesh branded, marked forever? Just a question because this awesome write inspired me so...

That's kind of comforting. Lessens the guilt. Thanks. :)
