Sweet perfection

Sweet perfection

A Poem by InternalNirvana

To be the holder

Of such a soul

That once was pieces

And now is whole

To think the thoughts

Of such a mind

Someone so loving

With words so kind

To hold the eyes

Of someone like you

With such expression

I’m not sure what to do

But my heart is pounding

And all a flutter

I’m lost for words

So I simply stutter

And over my lips

The words trip

I catch my breath

And the words slip

Loving perfection

Is quite the struggle

For under your gaze

My walls crumble

Before your eyes

I’m left bare

And I can’t believe

You could even care

But promises

Fill each kiss

You’re encircling arms

Are an endless abyss

So I’ll grasp tight

This fleeting love

Because, sweet perfection

I hold you above.

Don't usually read or like poems, but the first 3 lines gave me goosebumps and so did the 3 after that. This is a wonderful poem.
