The Unknown

The Unknown

A Poem by Angel

Along the street I look

For something that life once took

Finding it would fix my heart

The one that the world tore apart

People would just walk right through me

As if they couldn’t see

Ignoring me as though I wasn’t there

Shouting at the world for pretending to ever care

Running in every single direction there is

Turning over every rock to see if there’s anything I missed

Keep passing this same thing each day

Something always made me scatter the other way

Got an unknown feeling whenever I got around it

That fear inside of me screaming for me to quit

I’ve gone everywhere I could

Yet again my legs led me here to this piece of wood

Panic spreads throughout my body as I feel compelled to move towards that door

Sad thing is, I don’t even know exactly what I’m looking for.
