The Castle of Crimson Tears

The Castle of Crimson Tears

A Poem by Darkened_drear

I press my face

To the glass of time

It mirrors my mortal image

Of utter disgrace

Torments me

In the daylight

The twisted pine

Dance in mockery

Of my horrid reflection

The ravens circle

My thorny windowsill

Black roses

Bloom upon the vines

That converge

And constrict my

Empty grave

A tower of no end

That reaches

The harvest moon

Where

No one sees

Nor hears

My silent pleas

I scream

Ram my fist

Into the mirrors

Of my own

Cell

The bars bleed

I rip open my heart

As my dark prince

Rides up

Upon his vampiric

Bloodthirsty steed

He brings

The shimmering sword

Of perfect tragic passionate

Disease

He feeds me poison

And I drink so

Thankfully

I give into his beastly

Seduction

The wind sings

As I draw

My last breathe

And eternally rest

In the raging pools

Of his well of wishful hell

A spellbound damsel

Forever to roam

In his castle

Of caged

Cruelty

A cursed child

Forsaken

By her family

Walking in the shadows

Of a bedroom of lies

Where laying down for death

Is so easy
