Taste my Pain

Taste my Pain

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

Life and love is tricky

"

You said
you had to cut me..
just to taste of me my pain.

You said
you had to make me cry
just to drink in my tears.

You said
you had to hurt me so
just to be sure I loved you.

You said
you had to be certain
as you had been hurt before.

You said
can you forgive me this ache
but how can I

When all I do is ache

to be with you.

Wow. I have been on both sides of this, ironic really considering some things I am going through right now in my own life. Your emotion behind this was strong, and your words flowed perfectly to paint the picture as always :)

Lashing out to test love is so normal. I wonder if they ever let themselves feel it or if they settle into a fantasy. I feel how hard it is for you.
