A Poem by Heath Muchena

the dream was promising " something like a Jules Chéret poster

it was after an evening at the theatre having watched Aimé Césaire’s A Tempest with Frantz Fanon. after that we’d gone to the Rouge for a drink, but right in the midst of that dream… an ephemeral impression of Toulouse-Lautrec with La Goulue " who seemed to have her hand on his hypertrophied genitals… then another layer with William Godwin holding Mary Shelley at Mary Wollstonecraft’s deathbed…

and then the dream ended. but all its subliminals made me feel like I’d been in a James Vicary experiment
