Twisted Fairy Tale

Twisted Fairy Tale

A Poem by IonaFaith

She had the most hideously exquisite form,
It made me fall into such a shallow love.
Woefully easily tormented by the throws of passion.
Her sublimely succulent lips dripped red
As though with blood,
And the ridiculously embellished emeralds set into her eyes
Shone with a white hot rage.
But still I was filled with a vile hope
That someday she would cast those jewels in my direction
And they would find something they liked,
So that maybe I wouldn't have to be alone
In my disastrous love affair.

This is beautiful, just like the girl in the poem. And although appearances are deceitful, as we all by now know, it's hard not to admire unearthly beauty and call it love. This has a great flow and it's well penned. Thanks for sharing this piece!
