a grasp on how

a grasp on how

A Poem by Alm

Ideas flitting through

the recesses of my confused head.

Words floundering through

a stream of thought.

Watching them,

in all of their irreverence

while people hurt

somewhere out there.

At a standstill,

failing to comprehend

how

it happens, how

they can.

Blinking seems

tedious, in my deprived

eyes and heart.

Even with an unbroken heart

and rested eyes

I will not understand.

I never will.

Very good write. I can get a clear picture of how the character thinks and views the world. Great job!
