Tendrils

Tendrils

A Poem by Isadora Cupcake

Wandering, wondering when

this soul’s barren plat

will sprout shoots of hope

fresh tendrils wrapping around me

Sour soil once stale

now thick with your words

gives me light

sweet and unpolluted and verdant

Cover me gently

like warmth on wood

let me slowly inhale

your viscous charm
