A Poem by 𝓑lack 𝓛ion 𝓯rom 𝓽he 𝓢outh

It's been months but I still look at our old messages...
I still check out your profile

I love all the love notes we left for each other
I love the jokes... the laughter... the sniggering...

U were truly my partner in crime
And it's embarrassing just how much I couldn't stop holding u
Hilarious how much I hated it when u would wonder off on your own like u would do...

U were my introvert...
U were someone that was similar in almost every way
U were me...

But it's okay now... I'm learning to let go
Learning to let go but also to never forget

I'll forever cherish the memories we shared
I'll forever be in love with u as I move on
But I'll let go of the sadness
And let go of the longing

And when that happens
When I let go of the attachments and float all the way to the surface
When I decide that I've been drowning for long enough and need to transcend
U will be there... watching from the Heavens
Your warmth surrounding me through the clouds...

Till we meet again Kayla
