Almirah Of Memories.

Almirah Of Memories.

A Poem by Maximus
"

Treasure Of Old Days.

"
Unveil the almirah of memories past,
Each drawer holds treasures so divine and vast.
In every corner, whispers of the soul,
In every nook, a story to unfold.

The scent of lilacs and the sound of rain,
Remind us of the joy and tears of pain.
The photos faded, yet still hold such power,
To bring us back to a forgotten hour.

Within these walls, we find our truest selves,
In memories stored on dusty, old bookshelves.
Each moment lived, each dream that’s dared to dream,
A piece of heaven in this earthly scheme.

So let us cherish what we hold so dear,
For in these memories, our souls appear.

Beautiful work Maximus. You transported me. I was reminded of sorting my mother’s possessions out following her death. There were treasures of hers which are now in my own home. Second stanza, so touching. Well done.

Yes, it is good to review old memories on occasion. Some, however, maybe disenchanted with their present lives, tend to live in the past. Thus they miss the present moment, which is the only reality there is.
