Epiphany

Epiphany

A Poem by J. Alicia

My fingers read the engravings of ancient ruse

The raised embossments smooth as buttercups

A language unknown to all but one

We can only pine to discover

Misted eyes between opaque shells

Needless to be unsheathed

Furling lashes redeem the beauty

Of the reflectionless flickering globes

A language unseen in

Etches unknown

Melding to my fingertips

Soaking to the bone

A current flows to my core

An electric hum

Murmuring....

Awake

Cracks so small they seem a-blur

A fog around the surface

Pieces fall from the membraned shell

A puzzle chunk revealing

Molten light gushes through, melting the snow

Falling clear in liquid sheets

Breathing sharp

Eyes a-flutter

My fingers curl

around

My Faith.
