Empathetic adoration

Empathetic adoration

A Poem by J.
"

Waiting to be released from a life that is one of captivity...for the one. Yet while waiting one feels like everything around them is almost devouring them. But still, hold on to hope.

"
If only I could express
This pathetic excuse for a mess
Would it make a difference?
Especially in your absence
Oh God I cry out now deep within
And much to my chagrin
Should I continue to obscure?
Maybe the approach was too demure
Maybe not
Take me away before I fade
Into this imperfect shade
Allowing them to take me swift
Still a tinge of hope to lift

Maybe it doesn't matter
An unheard shatter
Fallen alone
From my rightful throne
Will he find me alive still
Before they finish the kill?

I believe, honestly I do
Only all that is missing is me with you
But I lay here
Finally with no fear
No care in this god forsaken world
holding myself furled

Well, the true meaning behind your words eludes me right now. Told you lol science is not my basis of thought which makes it harder to understand everything though some I do. Still, this is a good write. Ah, must add, last stanza could this have to do with what is inside that your FINALLY accepting?

Such is lifes frosty bite, We all fear something.
But most of all we fear ourselves opening up
for all the world to see.

Rhyming is a difficult skill. I think you were able to pull it off here. Sometimes people force the schemes and skew the message but you engendered sympathy from me with this piece.
