Rectification

Rectification

A Poem by J.
"

I wrote this last year. Over time, things of this world and some people just get to me.

"
Enjoy your world of tyranny and lies
Twisted wager to see who can destroy who
A game we've been falling prey to play
Waiting for something
You do not even want to hear let alone know
Contentment in an illusory perception
Reflective silhouette of shadows
Cast against darkened walls
Nonsensical limitations and containment
Chained, oblivious souls with blinders
Defensive to the accustomed
Slaves with an option, chosen to ignore
Freedom to embrace what is inevitable
Tears have dried over you
You've beat us down long enough
Your actions speak the fear that has taken hold
Why deny what is already finished
