Fear is a wolf

Prowling through the night

Sneaking around

But sure to strike

Aimed at the throat

It comes to kill

The innocent sheep

Can’t stand its skill

Their only help

Is the small human

The shepard

With the odds against

He battles the wolf

Stick held high

He defends the sheep

With his life

Still the wolf lurks

From time to time attacks

But he cannot harm them

The shepard is courage
