...along a sunny sidewalk

Jack smiles at a pretty girl walking his way.

"Hey, hi," he says, as they pass. "How you doin' these days?"

Looking puzzled, she stops. "Do I know you?"

"Ask me that in 20 minutes," he says,

"over a couple of cinnamon-spice lattes. Jack's my name."

She stifles a smile. "Does this ever actually work for you, Jack?"

~

"Cinnamon, never. I've had some success with chocolate though."

~

" ...So, why didn't you suggest chocolate?"

~

"It's plain to see you're a cinnamon-spice gal."

~

" ...Oh? What makes you think so?"

~

"How 'bout we discuss that over our lattes?"

~

She laughs. "I'll have chocolate."
