"

Love Transactions ...in 12 lines

"
~The Campus Grind~
Two friends over coffee

"I'm a Business major, Craig, and you're Psych.
So, tell me, do you think human relationships are transactional?"
~
"Yes, Alicia, the research literature supports that hypothesis."
~
"What about romantic relationships?"
~
"Yes, those most of all. First, think of the Ventral Tegmental and Caudate Nucleus
regions of your brain as an operating budget, pulsating between surpluses and deficits."
~
" ... Pulsating, huh?"
~
"Yes, now try to picture the object of your amorous desires
making deposits and withdrawals."
~
" ...Deposits. Got it."
~
"This is fairly complex stuff, Alicia. Are you sure? Any more questions?"
~
"Yes. Your dorm room or mine?"
