Tessa, Captain Of The Death's Flyer

Tessa, Captain Of The Death's Flyer

A Poem by JEG
"

A fictional poem about a lady pirate

"
my name is Lady Contessa, born in 1759
by the time I was 18, I knew a life of crime

abandoned by my kin, I swore I'd get even
my first payback, was to uncle Steven

he thought it was fun, to let his men use me
from the age of 14, virtue stolen violently

one night after he retired, he died in his sleep
I dragged his carcass off, and buried it deep

I stole all his money & then fled to the sea
where a kind, older pirate, took care of me

when he was murdered, I avenged the crime
2 more scum dead & I stole every dime

at 24, I walked aboard the ship, Death's Flyer
killing the captain, after calling him a liar

now I'm feared everywhere, at the age of 28
captain of this marauder, and of my own fate

handy with any weapon, I've out dueled 18 men
don't cross my path, unless you plan to meet
your end.....
