Lost

You are swept in

With strength too absorbing

To break.

Slowly,

A sapphire world

Starts coming into view around you.

Everything seems distant,

But a perfect indigo

Envelopes you.

It’s serene.

A stillness floats through the air,

And you drift along with it,

Letting tension leave your body.

Closing your eyes,

You barely notice your feet leave the ground.

You sail

On puffs of tranquility

Until the silence is broken

By hushed waves of a beach.

Your eyelids rise

And your eyes are exposed again

To the vivid blue hues that enclose you.

You feel velvet sand beneath your feet,

And glance down to notice

The sand is a brilliant cobalt.

Every last entity,

An intense blue.

Lying down,

Your skin is embraced by the sand,

And your heels are tickled with water,

Colored as deep as the feathers on a blue jay.

And you close your eyes for the second time.

And then reluctantly,

You are enticed into the sky once more.

And the next time your eyes open,

You are back,

Arms around your soul mate.

Gazing into

The most beautiful shades and swirls

Of blue eyes

That you are easily lost in.
