Dearest Reprobate

Dearest Reprobate

A Poem by JMo

My days they pass blue and bleak

But for one night, my favorite of the week

When at last I enter your dark domain

To get my fix and numb my pain

Cool, restrained, you're forever in control

You still my heart and calm my soul

You take me to a place through space and time

Where all is right, so sweet, sublime

We're sick and twisted, a perfect pair

I'm in your grasp, you've got me snared

Don't worry; I know we're not meant to be

You're incapable of love, or of loving me

But know this - the spell will break, one day you'll see

My chains will fall, I'll stumble free

Until then, I'll take what you can give - it's somethin'

'Cause you know, somethin' is better than nothin'
