Paige the Pink Strawberry Bear's Easter Egg Hunt

Paige the Pink Strawberry Bear, is playful and light as a feather,
who loves going on adventures, and sunbathing in hot weather.
Paige has a love for animals, which is clear to everyone she meets,
by showing her love for her pup Jerry, and spoiling him with treats.
Paige dreams of becoming a vet, when she is all grown up,
to care for the sick and wounded, and give them regular checkups.

Paige's house is stylish, with a split-level, and modern chimney,
strawberry coloured window shutters, and a garden that looks quite pretty.
Paige lives with her dad Noah, mum Bella, and sister Alexis too,
who make up the rest of the bright, and colourful family crew.
Dad Noah is a musician, and mum Bella is a florist,
while sister Alexis, goes to school with Paige, and wants to become a gymnast.

Sweetville, will soon see the arrival of Easter, and holiday fun,
along with the Easter Bunny, and delicious Hot Cross Buns.
Easter preparations consists of Chocolate Easter Egg Nests, and Easter Bunny Hats,
followed by Easter Egg Baskets, and cute Bunny Cupcakes, that look like Cats.
A Guess-the-Eggs Game was played, to entertain the young kids,
where kids guess the number of eggs in the basket, then put the votes in the basket lids.

Mail was delivered, to all families of Sweetville,
with details of an Easter Egg Hunt, which caused quite a thrill.
The poster was bright, and colourful with a picture of the Easter Bunny,
along with delicious Easter Eggs, which looked as sweet as honey.
Saturday, the 31st March, was the date of the Easter Egg Hunt,
and everyone was to meet at 2pm, at Sweetville Park, out the front.

Sweetville Park, home of the Chocolate Caramel Cranes,
Is the perfect venue to hold the egg hunt, as long as it doesn't rain.
The park is shaped in an oval, with beautiful, long green grass,
with a stunning view of Gingerbread Mountain Pass.
Tables and stalls were set up, along the side of the park,
filled with scrumptious snacks, and activities led by Mark.

The Golden Eggs lay hidden, amongst the tall, mint flavoured trees,
in which the kids need to find, in order to win a computer and cds.
Wrapped in red ribbon, and unable to break,
Makes the golden egg as tough as a steak.
Resting in a nest, the Golden Eggs are guarded,
By a medium sized bird, who is not always kind hearted.

The start of the Easter Egg Hunt, is underway,
and Easter Eggs were placed in kids baskets, in complete disarray.
The eggs on the ground, were quite easy to find,
however, the eggs higher up, will be a little less kind.
Paige counts her eggs; one, two, three up to ten,
which hopefully will be more than her friend Gwen.

Unable to retrieve the golden egg on her own,
Paige decides to create a ladder, made with branches, fully grown.
The ladder needed to be tall, and hold Paige's weight,
sloped on an angle, and the rungs thick and straight.
Successfully completed, the ladder is ready to climb,
and now Paige feels, it is a race against time.

Climbing the ladder, Paige quickly reaches the top,
to find the bird, cradling the golden egg, and its head fully dropped.
Paige reaches forward, to grab the golden egg,
only to slightly lose her footing, on the ladder-rung peg.
The bird started to stir, yet to Paige's surprise,
was able to grab the golden egg, and will now claim her prize.

After Paige claimed her prize, and the egg hunt was done,
everyone sat down, to have a traditional dinner, second to none.
First was the Classic Baked Ham, with Maple Mustard Glaze,
followed by Asparagus, Spring Onion, and Oven Roasted Potatoes, which amazed.
For Desert was Coconut Tartlets, with Poached Pineapple,
along with Lemon Orange Chiffon Cake, and Easter cookies to sample.

Tonight, Paige will be dreaming of the White Easter Bunny,
with big, floppy ears, pink nose, and a bow tie, as sweet as honey.
The Easter Bunny will deliver easter eggs, and candy to every boy and girl,
with remembrance to Christ's Resurrection, most importantly, around the world.
Carrots, green vegetables, and a glass of water, was left on the table,
for the Easter Bunny to snack on, when he arrives at Paige's stable.

The next morning, Paige awoken, and was completely surprised,
to find that the Easter Bunny had come and gone, and delivered chocolate eggs and bunnies, in a large size.
A basket full of Easter Eggs, for mum Bella, was the perfect present,
and dad Noah's Rocky Road Egg, was money well spent.
The rest of the day, was spent at home, playing games outside,
and lunch was barbecued meat, and fresh salad, on the side.
