![]() Summer Day at Barton Springs, Austin, TexasA Poem by JPatrickAusanka![]() a little lyrical, but of good memories![]()
Down a couple miles
(Two to be exact)
We found hippies and slackers
Who picked up the slack
Picked up those dirty feet
And went down the trail
to the falls at the back
Sculpture’s up the trail
Twin was too crowded
but the crowd was just right
at the falls called Sculpture
that day before that night
we kept good friends and
strangers alike and smoked
joints and drank beers
on a warm rocked creek
in the cool running stream
‘til the dawn of the night
Then the shadows came down
by the creek bed and cooled
the rocks where we lay
and children were at play.
