Here's to you

Here's to you

A Poem by JPatrickAusanka
"

something from my hazy days

"

From the falls of the wichita
to the flop floors in Abilene,
junkies in Clyde
and dope cooks
in Ranger,
to every
random stranger.
From rastas
in Santa Barbera,
selling pot
on lower State,
a California opera.
To a cuddly cocaine bunny
in Alexandria, Louisiana
to Hanna.
From Austin to Worschter
to cousins and culprits
to bullshit and bullriders,
June brides
and prize fighters
to step brothers.
To surfers and liars
here's too all your fires
may they burn bright
and never tire.

nice beat poem with a little cowboy ... I can appreciate thoughts like these any day; nice to be taken back to Santa Barbara State Street - the main stretch of "cool" they have ... less the parties in Goleta - I liked the traveling reflective nature of this poem.

"To surfers and liars
here's too all your fires
may they burn bright
and never tire." -- Cheers.
